Step 1: Application and Fee Submission
Potential adopters must fill out an application and submit a $15 application fee. This step helps identify genuine interest in adoption and separates serious adopters from casual browsers.
Step 2: Application Validity and Waiting Period
Once approved, the application remains valid for one year. Adopters are placed in a queue based on the order of application receipt.
Step 3: Interview and Matching Process
“In line” adopters will be interviewed and have a conversation with the foster to assess the compatibility with the cat. This step ensures a suitable match for both the adopter and the cat.
Step 4: Notification and Options
When a cat is successfully matched, the remaining adopters are urged to check for cat status updates on this website and on Facebook. They will have the opportunity to apply for another cat or put their application on hold until a suitable cat becomes available.
Step 5: Application Requirements and Response Time
It is important to complete every section of the application to ensure its consideration. Please note that the adoption donation/fee for a Siamese cat is $300 and upwards, depending on the cat chosen. This fee does not apply to Special Needs, Domestic Short Hair, Friendly Ferals or Working Cats who may have reduced fees. The minimum donation /fee to assist in covering rescue/veterinarian expenses. Due to the high volume of applications received daily, adopters are requested to be patient with the response time as the organization relies on volunteer efforts.
